Governor Spry,
Salt Lake City, Utah.
His Excellency the Governor:
If newspaper reports are true, I wish to congratulate you
upon the position you are taking in reference to the infamous speeches
that are made upon the streets of Salt Lake City.

In October we were stopping in Salt Lake City and we were
on the streets one evening and heard a gentleman address a crowd, and
we stopped a moment to listen. And I heard something that was very
unusual. This gentleman said, "To Hell with the Constitution". Perhaps
it is because in my school work I have always urged respect for
the Country and the Constitution of the United Stated that caused
such a shock.

Your good state cannot afford to be advertised in this
way, and I wish to commend the position you are taking in this
matter.

Yours very truly,
C.V. Findlay
