The mere numerical extent
to which these aqueduct lines
are carried is, however, a question
of economy, either in the ex-
penditure of money on the works
themselves, or on that of water;
the detail, therefore, must neces-
sarily be left to the future.
The capacity of the Etawah
terminal, however, has
been determined on the large
and efficient supply which
must necessarily be extracted
for the purpose of the Hatrass
irrigation; and I consider that
as far as the 100th mile of the
course of the terminal line
it is available in the fullest
possible way for affording
supplies to as many aqueducts
lines as can conveniently
and economically be pushed
over the Seyngoor valley.
