maintaining a sufficient
supply for lands lying at
distance from the main Canal
it will be sufficient therefore
in this place, whilst re capitulating
the different details, to bring the
whold under review as one com=
=prehensive schme of Irrigation.

From what was said before
it will be
understood that on the leadings
65 miles of the course of the
Etawah Terminal, the
supply for Irrigation will
be almost entirely drawn
from the Rajbuha heads on its right bank; this sup=
=ply which is intended to be
free and continuous is in fact
the source upon which the
Hatrass line of Irrigation with
depend for its existence ; on
the principles above described,
the Seyngoor will be crossed
by aqueducts, and these aque=
=duct lines (which I propose
to make 10 feet in width) will
be kept in supply by the
intermediate Rajbuhas
which will meet the aqueduct
line on the Canal side of the
Seyngoor valley. I have sup=
=posed that four aqueducts
with a waterway of 40 feet
in width in the aggregare would
be sufficient for the Hatrass
irrigation on the first 65
miles of the Course of the
Etawah[ Terminal
The position of the Four
aqueducts with their feeders
may be shewn in a diagram
- the four main lines being
designated by the leading towns
