My own Beloved Mother,

Here I am seated in the dining room in Jones Street who do you think why my own dearest Father he will tell you all about his arrival here but he or no one else can tell you how happy I was to see him - He will [?] this tomorrow and go to you How I wish I could be at home at the same time. But to have had time here with me for nearly two days is greater happiness than I ever hoped for.

cough is so severe that I do not like to go out walking makes it worse. But I will see that it is attended to before Saturday - I went on Saturday last to see if your furniture had gone Mr Morrell said he sent it down & they refused to take it as they had no room for half the things there in Stoar house - So William says he will see to its being shiped on the Englade on Saturday & your lamps shall go at the same time - he sends your pots & [marches?] coat - I think these steamboat people are all crazy - or possessed of the [?] - [And?] your carpet get to you safe & I hope you have it finished by this time so that the dear old parlor will look its best when the beloved Master is at home

last two days has been lovely weather and little Tousee has enjoyed going out very much - She improves every day a little. Tell Appy that I saw her bonnet the other day - it is very pretty - As it is so late in the season I thought I had best not take the one you so handly allowed her to order for me- If it had been a pretty bonnet I may have been tempted but it was the ugliest thing I have seen miserable thin silk & very little triming with bright red flowers & strings at $10 - So I told her I would not take it - it is so near spring that the straw I have will answer every purpose for me - I will far prefer a spring bonnet -

I sent you your dress waist in [& this boy?] did it fit - & did you on opening it find 2 one dollar bills? - I went down & paid for the dress and the woman pined it up for

me to bring home- I took it to [D? & Ms?] for them to send to you the day after it [w?st] [Mrs Tuce?] came to me and asked if I had opened the dress as she thought she had put up in it the 2 one dollar bills that I had given her when I paid her for it - I had not opened it so I told her I would write to you & ask you - & let her know- she says She must have lost the money if it is not put up in the dress or [?ing] - & only called to ask - if I had found it in the parcel -

My dear Cousin has a bad cold & is not atall well - [Mr Toolley?] is going out South tomorrow and I think she would either go to you or come to me if [? Showers?] were not staying with them as it is she will leave. She says to [slay?] at home
