we parted - & how long an age to be
before we meet - Much as I rush to see
you my own Mother I must be thank

of your not coming - how little did I think
that our all wise Father had ordered it

was best - How shall I express to you
my dearest Mother my gratitude for what
you sent me $20 - is to me a large sum

for me - I should be much rejoiced in its
possesion - Thanks- Many thanks - and
the eggs-too [& the?] nice fresh grites and
[persons?] - do not sent me any more grits
just now - for we still have some of what
came with me - it saves us much this
grits - and is better than any we can
buy - you are very kind - dear Mother & I
wish I could send you bread by every
boat - I will send a parcel of work for
[Christian] to be landed at [Old Yours?]
on Tuesday night - I am obliged to
make [Fillir?] some pants - he has used
up a new pair since he has been here
& [?] is much we want of [pantalits?]
I will put some bread in the bundle
Oh Mother my heart yearns for you
