Rebecca as soon as I can - I shall have a great deal to do now for some little time to come. wonder if the father is with you - how very much I miss you all & the dear little children - Do give my best love to Mr. Cameron & every one of the family & kisses to the children & love for the Curtis' & all my friends - I was so sorry to miss Dr. Curtis - My home spuns are thought very pretty indeed.

I suppose Rebecca will be in Raleigh very soon - do let me hear when you get any tidings from Mary. There are many things I wish to say, but it is so late-

Raleigh 10 Nov. 1865

My dear sir

Mildred tonight has missed her bureau key & thinks Maggie must have carried it away with her. please inquire about it & send it by Rebecca on Monday if she has it.

I have not succeeded in getting another team of mules for you yet I bid $900 - on a team of six sorrels this afternoon but did not get them- I have bought an ambulance for you at $50. - the best that has been sold but not as good as I wanted. I have bought the Sugar & Whiskey also & shall keep them until I hear from you all about as you left us - Mr. Piper came down this evening - The Carriage will be at the Depot on Monday evening for Rebecca
