Syaquin Sept. 14th 1783

D Sir

I had purposed to go down to your
house to day, with the Carriage, for Mr M Davy, and, I hope,
Mrs Benehan, but recollecting that perhaps the ladies
might not yet be sufficiently recruited after their journey,
and wishing to prevent anything that might in the
least incommode them in the Jaunt, I have concluded to
send to you to learn when it may be most convenient
and agreeable to them. Let me request you to give our complements
to them, and to tell them we wish to have the pleasure of their
company as soon as can be consistant with their care and
convenience. Farther Sir, as Col Davy told me his Lady
was not in good health, I would beg leave to press his coming
hither without much delay, as probably our place has the
advantage of yours in that regard. I wish you also to
tell me whether it will be convenient for you to come up with
them, because in that case my going down would not be
necessary, but if not convenient to you I will wait upon
them.

I am D Sir yr very obed St
