Your favor of the 1st Inst we this Day recd & observe the contents you’ll receive pr return of the waggon 32 Bushels shells wch is all the waggoner wou’d carry, shall endeavr to procure the Quantity mentd by the time you other waggons arrives here, Inclosed is the notes for your 2 Hhd Tobo as it will not answer to enter them to yr Cr here till your are better satisfied with regard to the price, I’m very sorry there shou’d have been any misunderstanding between you & me last January in the agreement concerning the quantity & price of 30 ro 36 Hhds you was to have sent between that tie & the month of April at farthest including the 20 Hhds recd of you when here I’m in hopes after recollecting you’ll be sensible that this was the express agreement.
