THOMAS P. STEWART
Senior Pastor

Dear David,

What a delight to find a picture of Westminster
Church's side yard in your gorgeous catalog for
Sculpture Today! If you turn to page 33 you will
find the "temporary earthworks sculpture" that was
a part of our creation celebration after Easter.

I am enclosing a copy of the brochure we did regarding
the whole set of programs - music, sermons, special
study, dance and sculpture. It all ebgan with
Thomas Swan's desire to do Haydn's Creation. I
wanted to take on the fundamentalist one more time
as well as deal with some other issues, and the
Arts Committee decided to climb in on the act!

The real purpose of this letter is to ask if I
can have some additional copies of your catalog.
I would be grateful for having them so as to be able
to give them to some key people in the congregation
who have wondered why we had that "septic tank"
in the side yard of the church.

This brings all good wishes.

As ever,
Tom

P.S. i've just learned from the Chair. of our
Arts Committee that George Smith was distressed
you folks made the decision to delete the locations
of the various pieces. What a chance to affirm
the church's support in this case!
