My dear Robert.

Your letter to my
Father was received last evening. &
as he is now absent from home
attending the state fair at Landworthy
I take the liberty to write you a few
lines - I have been something of an
invalid for the last week, & am not
yet able to do much but lounge
about - read a little &c -

My Father left home last Monday &
will not probably return home before the
last of the week - Charly went to Landworthy
& back yesterday - saw his Grandfather
a few moments - and thought he was
enjoying himself finely - I was in hopes
you would have attended the fair, &
