Tuesday. Ladies Sub Comm. seven present.

Wednesday Mary Ann O.Brian alias Williams escaped.
12th sent to the Police.
she has been idle and quarrelsome & given great
trouble -

13th Thurday Marg. Lamb very sick. gave her
castor oil. and gruel. has an irruption too.

Emily Brown repeated 4 verses of
" In evil long I took delight
unawed by shame or fear"
This girl only 19 yrs old. kept a brothel. she
was one of the smartest in dress etc when the
"All England eleven" were last in Sydney.

Whilst assembled listening to Mr Simpson's
address 1/4 to 9 oclk Emily Colson
came to the gate quite drunk.
she left 3 bunches of water cress as a present.
Mr Roberts went out in search of her but did
not find her . Margt Lamb recovered

14th Friday Ellen Burmingham ['said' crossed out] told matron
she wished to go out & requested to see
the ladies next Com. day. her great grievance
being, no tobacco to smoke!
Mrs Reid walked around the Refuge, spoke
words of kindness and encouragement to the
inmates.
