[continued] the past week. No Sub Committee
to day. Mrs Wild visited.

Wednesday
21st. When reproving Lizzie Darnes
this afternoon for annoying one of
her companions Johanna Smith took
up a stone to throw at her. I took
the stone from her with some difficulty
and put her into the old Mangling room
as she threatens to strike Lizzie if she
could get at her, more than two hours
elapsed before I could get her to promise
that she would not strike her.
Johanna's temper is so violent that
unless I secured her I was fearful she
might do great mischief. Miss Holland
went out this evening.
Mr Gully held evening service.

Thursday
22nd. Mrs Atkins called this afternoon
asking to be taken in saying Mrs Wise
had sent her, she brought no letter from
Mrs Wise, I therefore recommended her
to come before the Committee on Tuesday
next telling her it was quite out of my
power to take her in without an order.
The Dean held an evening service
at 20 minutes past eight o'clock. Miss Holland
came to me to report Margaret Allen
having been very insolent to her.
