Saturday
I went [sup] at 1/2 past 6 oclk [end sup] to the Central Market
accompanied by the messenger with his
barrow and purchased vegetables for the week. 7/6
Sabbath 12th
Re'vd J. Forsaith preached 11 o clk
(he was introduced to us by Mr. Armstrong)
he was astonished to find girls of such a stamp
so clean and orderly. number of inmates

Monday 13th
Gave the inmates half holiday.
S.J. Green [sup] threatened to be [end sup] brought before the ladies if she continued idle and disobedient.
Teusday [tuesday] 14th
Sub com't met. 4 ladies present.
sent a letter to Mr. Warburton J. P Mudgee by
order of Rev'd J. Smith to tell him that Kate Barry
was quite well and much improved since she came
to the Refuge, although she still gave us some
trouble at times.
Wednesday 15th
Took J. Drew, Bridget Mc Cha
Mary Nowland and Eliz'th Graham
to Capp's office. Bridget engaged to a
Mr Newcastle as general servant 12/- pr
week, and Mr Nowland as general Servant 7/. pr week.
To Mr. Beck, Wolumba, post office.
Miss Galbraith took Bridget to the Steamer, sailed 11 oclk
J. Drew went to help carry her box.
