Wednesday. Mrs Talbut came to see Elizth. Logan
A. Maloy is engaged as General servant to Mr. Rowe. wholesale Chemist. 9/- pr. week.

Thursday 10th
Miss Galbraith was just going out with
Ann Moloy to the Railway, to 4 oclk
train, when Lady Young came [sup] and us [end sup] Ann was
crying. She asked "if she disliked going to
service?" I told her no, she was very glad that she
had got a situation, but parting with us, after
being here 12 month made her cry. she said she "liked
to see that feeling, and hoped she would be a good girl."

Friday 11th
Agnes O Brian brought a note from
Mrs J. Smith. I told her if her object in
coming in, was merely to play wicked
tricks, such as she practised 2 years ago, she
had ^[sup] better [end sup] stay away, for we were determined not to suffer it" she said " O no you will find me very different now."

Saturday 12th
Eliz'th Smith alias Nickleburgh continues
to work steadyly, [steadily] is quiet and well behave'd.
we are begin'g to hope she is a "branch [?] plucked
from the burning"
