Man belonging to the
corporation was sent to repair
the corroded pipes.

Lady Young visited us, after enquiring
about little Emma, and hearing that she
is a better girl now, she asked Emma
what she would like, Em not answering
her ladyship said "would you like me to
send you a book? "No Mrs Goodlet"
would you like a doll?" No, I would like
china cups and saucers". Lady young
replied "you shall, I'll send you them."

Her Ladyship paid £1.00 for
the two garden seats, and wishes very
much that the walls around the garden
were abound with fruit trees, and instructed
us to send for trees &c - directly we are [underlined] ready [end underlined]
for them.

Wednesday 4th
Dr. Nathan ordered a blister and a
bottle of medicine for Eliz'th Bowman
and says her arm is likely to give her trouble.
Eliz'th admits she has brought it on by drunkeness
and exposure, and yet theres not the
sign in her, of genuine repentance.
