1Hq. + Hq. Co., 55th Medium Port 18 April 1945 Dr. Donald B. Tresidder Dear Dr. Tresidder, Your letter of March 16 has just reached me after being forwarded several times. In answer to the questions in that letter, I do expect to return to Stanford when I am discharged from the Army. I hope to continue work towards my M.A. and Ph.D. in chemistry, where I was interrupted by the Army. I don't see any reason for changing the work in this field from the Stanford pre-war program.
