after having dinner. We played on Tuesday also but afterwards I figured I wouldn't go back to Wellington's for awhile. There was nothing there. After Joe, I was especially convinced of this.

I spent Staurday recouperating from a super hangover mixed with burnout. And Sunday I was only in good enough shape to read, so I finished the Front Runner. So sad and moving. It took me Monday morning to revive myself and figure it out. I worked after that but Monday I still had diarrhea so I read in the tub Monday evening. "Society and the Helathy H." It was pretty good. On Tuesday I was making all sorts of plans to leave and finish elsewhere, and meantime I was confirming my suspicions of Albuquerque. It was all dull, mediocre, never fascinating, infectious, but I recovered on Wednesday and continued to work till Firday. I had made my decision not to drink except for celebrations and that Friday at Wellington's I didn't drink anything at all alcoholic.

It was my time of reformation. I met Rick Sanchez that night but unfortunately he was with someone so I walked home by myself. Then the next evening I met Andy Cramer, who I admired at first. We talked together well and went to Village Inn to eat and then home to his house. It was unimpressive. But he took me up to the mountains. I learned a good deal but it wasn't fun or comfortable going over dir roads in his blazer with music BLARING. And he was stone, ie, in his natural state. He had to work in the evening, so I was dumped off and I decided to go to the movie, "Give 'em Hell, Harry," pretty good, moderately sleep-inducing. But I rested up and worked the next day. Tom Mac called and bitched about my sending manuals to UW; I was at the end of F3 (of Basic) os I began to work on ideas for sale of EDITX which I perfected thru the next Sunday and wrote the letter on Monday. I learned Bill was very mad at me and

I was to be fired for not working. So I finished F3 on Tuesday and began F4. Then I did more work on Wed, finalized the letter to Tom on my thots about sale of EDITX and mailed it to him on Wed. Then I began working on F4 endlessly.

Backing up though, I spent the Wednesday of the last week down at the library researching names of commerical TS firms. I stopped by the General Store and saw Andy. He was busy and conceited as hell. He drove me home, the advantage of being around him was that it put me in a very aggressive mood for writing a draft of ideas to put in a letter to Tom which I did Thursday. Friday Nov 14 I got back my Sociology paper - an A. Incredible! I was so happy!!! I decided to go to Wellington's that night to celebrate and finally got to lay Rick Sanchez. Then, in a good mood Saturday I sat down to write Tom M the letter but I had to do two days of

thinking. I spent Sunday evening finalizing my ideas - and then just as I was about to leave I met Sanchez walking around in back we left and went to eat and I had someone to spill all my ideas out to. So I ended the first four weeks well.

The next Monday I [finallyed?] that all had been done ina spirit of work so far. I had spent two weeks on EDITX and two on BASIC, had nearly finished F3, and had a way to market EDITX.

So on Wednesday I began F4, coming up with ways to implement it, a scheme to handle things efficiently, and go to it. I was going to work straight through the weekend and only went out to Wellington's an hour each night Friday + Saturday. But I was called up by Dan Brown, the bartender at Wellington's, on Sunday so I went to the mountains with him and had a great day. It was beautiful and so was he + his personality. I had one of the most comfortable night's sleep there and then I

set off to a full and vigorous Monday. I worked the whole week on it. Tuesday was difficult because of the adder and QINT needing to use the same shifter. But I surmounted the problem, and carried on. On Wednesday, I wanted to relax just a second so I went to Welington's and met a beautiful blond I had wanted to meet. He (Jay) told me I had met him before, in fact the first night I was there. But the reason I hadn't gotten to know him was my super cruisy attitude that first night. Anwyay we ended up going to bed but it didn't waste any time because he had to go to school in the morn at 7:30. I went hom and wrote the best divider that's ever been written.

I met another of Andy Cramer's friends on Friday and went home with him. He was cute but reserved and we didn't get to know each other well. But that was it, anyway. I left at 10:00 or so came home and worked through till Wednesday, except I went to a
