This is to certify that Mr. W. Y. Evans-Wentz received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University in 1906, and his Master of Arts degree in 1907. Later he was a research student at Oxford University, where he obtained the degree of Bachelor of Sciences in Comparative Religion, and then studied in the University of Rennes, Brittany, France, which conferred upon him the Doctorate of Literature.

Since that time Mr. Evans-Wentz has been doing research work in Comparative Religion in Far Eastern countries, have spent five years in India, three years in Egypt, and some time also in Ceylon, China, and Japan.
