July 9th 1918 Dearest Mother, Safe & well I guess the two things that are most of interest - wonderful things to tell about after I return My address is at all times American Expedionary Forces Hqrs 313th Reg. 79th Divi -- Have not been at all sick very few men have. things were just as I expected them to be. There are five of us in this room and we are on duty six hours.
