August 22nd [1918]
Dearest Mother,
Just a line to
let thee know I am well and
happy there isnt much to tell
right now but I am getting along
O.K. and expect to continue in the
same vein. Our work is progressing
very well and when thee gets
this I will have had my first
shake at the war game and
will not be able to write for
three weeks so don't be alarmed
I'monly doing my bit as bitter
as it seems at times I am glad
to be able to be of real service.
Thine dearest mother mine
O.K Jno N Bentley
