7th month 1869

6th day 16 Ben Alban Wm Father & self hawling in
hay all day got in 8 loads. Clear & hot

7th 17 Ben cutting grass in morn Alban raking Wm
at house Father & I sharpening knives for reaper
& I went to Aunt Sarah Stablers & got 3 1/2 lbs
of butter. After dinner we all hawled in
hay. got in five loads. leaving 1/2 load cocked
in the field 18 acres we have cut. got in 29
loads of hay in all. Clear up to 5 PM.

1st 18 Went to meeting with Uncle Asa met
Charlie Stabler there he came here after
meeting. C & I loafed round all the
afternooon, Summers payed his farewell
visit after tea. Clear.

2nd 19 Father went to Baltimore Ben away
Alban 1/2 day, he Wm & self got in
load of hay after breakfast. Alban then
worked in truck patch & cut wood:
till dinner. Wm tending to the little
Alderney who is fresh. Charlie & I took the three
horses to the shop & had 6 shoes put on
got 1 1/2 BBl of corn as came back,
Wm Hartshorne stoped here to dinner
on his way home from Haverford
Charlie I painted a cart after dinner.
Wm plowing corn. To Wm Jnr Thomases
after tea in the eve. Been misty all day
