finished hoeing potatoes in
peach orchard, after din I
toook Randolph to look at

5th day 18 Evan took Father in to Laurel
with Uncle J J & imp - going
in Father S carriage Bob here
sowed potatoes till din din
when we had a nice [?]
after din he & Evan comd
thinning corn - yesterday
I finished working corn 2d
time - Robt & I each [made?]
the day assisting the Engineers

6 " 19 Bob working truck patch & garden
Robt & I assisting Engs until
noon when they gave up the
line thro W S Bond self & the
Thompson tract -

7 " 20 Bob jobbing - Robt & I with wagon
& two horses assisting Engs- went
to Joseph Sopers & worked towards
Laurel

2 " 22 Robt & I with wagon & 2 horses engineering
- Chas Dowdridge arrived in stage
Bob & Evan working corn & potatoes

3 " 23 Myself with wagon & 2 horses engineering
- worked on the [Soper?] line
