from The Washington Post. Also an invitation to a "Crow Banquet"
issued by the Post to President Truman, "Dean of American Prognosticators",
where-in they promised him thekey while every one else ate
crow.

Catherine Adams, nothing.

Fanny Iddings a very lovely hymn from her Hymnal, "God
save the people" She had never heard it sung, but we all agreed it was
very beautiful.

Rose Gilpin read "The visit", a sweet old poem by Mary Steer.

The Community Fair opened today, and tonight the Community
Library will be officially opened.

Helen Moore will not be able to attend the Hospital meeting,
and she was asked to get someone to go in her place.

The American Friend's sewings were announched for the first and
third Monday's of each month.

Adjourned to meet with Elza Thomas at
Tanglewood the first Thursday of December.
