The flowers made a most attractive foregound
to the vegeetables, & after seeing
them we could readily understand why
some of them had been awarded premiums
at the recent County Fair.

The very pretty shrubbery dotted around
the lawn, showed where one member of
the family had been busy in this line
of horticulture at home, as well as
abroad, & the secretary called our
special attention to her own private
& unique garden which consisted of
a Spanish needle growing in the side
of a tree, the signifigance of which
she will have to explain.

On our return to the house, we found
a delicious supper awaiting us, the
partaking of which closed the
exercises of the day.
