Some members lost many turkies from
unknown causes, Pekin ducks were highly spoken
of as laying many eggs and requiring no more
water than chickens.

1 Will cucumbers and watermelons mix?

be well to transplant it? Yes, in Oct.

3 Should a hedge be trimmed the first year? No

4 Why is celery blighting? Thought to be in
consequence of the hot weather

5 Should early potatoes which have made
a 2nd growth be dug now? Yes.

6 How raise celery? Make the ground very
rich, plant on the surface and hill up
being careful not to let the earth get with
in the stalk to the centre bud.

A member had gathered 120 qt of raspberries
from two rows, and eaten all they wanted
in the family

The flower garden was in beautiful order,
and the flowers numerous and beautiful
The vegetable garden qas a show for the
quantities andluxuriance of every thing
The Strawberry beds, the Raspberry rows
tomatoes and eggplants in astonishing
abundance. The lawn is always beauti-
ful with its varieties of trees.
