R. H. LANSDALE - Can I harvest barley Monday? Most is still
too green to combine.

G. R. CANBY - Said that Harwood Owings, JR. had sprayed twenty
acres of corn infested with moring glories with 2, 4-D at cost of about
$4.00 per acre. Several memebers have used 2, 4-D to some extent.

F. L. THOMAS - Asked the type of hand sprayer for DDT. A good
one may be bought at Whites'.

F.S. GILPIN - What is sweet clover that is in bloom and cut
two tons per acre worth? $5.00 to $10.00. (The same for Orchard grass).
(Give it away).

M. J. STABLER Mentioned that the haze noticed the last few
days was caused by forest fires in Northeast Canada. He mentioned the
Jap beetle grub damage to sod he had planned to sell this Fall but wonders
whether to wait and seed in the Spring. Seed this fall.

P. G. LIGON - Asked what share of hay crop he should get, he
owning the land and the other man doing the work. 2/3 to 5/8 to man
doing work. What should he pay per bale to have hay picked up and put
in barn? 4 to 6 cents per bale.
