our hostess was apparent in all its arrangements, the water ram which intrested many of the club at the last meeting was still working admirably, The foreman called attention to the large quantity of manure remaining in the stable, which was though not the best management, in view of the loss sustained by heating, and the consequent escape of its best properties. We viewed at a distance the two cornfields, one was on the wheat field destroyed by the hail, and though not so good as the [sod?], was a fair crop.

We then visited the [bone?] mill where a large stock of fertilizer was being prepared for fall use, judging from the [?] of the materials forming these fertilizers and free to public gaze together with the manipulation, the reputation of the manufacturer of proprietor for the manufacture of an honest and valuable article, can be well maintained.

The last object, though not the last interesting to many of us, was the scrap pile when almost every manner & variety of [?] & other trash could be found, deposited among the bones by the tricky and cunning young [?][?] of Washington city. After returning to the house the minutes of the meeting held a month before at E P Thomas' were read and approved.

The following questions were then asked and answered. 1. Who has good seed wheat and for [rice?]

2. What is the price for cutting corn per acre A. 3 say $ 1.00 5 say 90c 2 80c and one 75c

3. Sowed [apple orchard?] in [?] last spring on[oats?], should it be ploweed in the following fall or spring. A. General opinion in the spring.

5. What shall I do with your potatoes A Mow it where it obstructs the plow.

6. What will members take to the fair A. Eight will take various articles

7. I have a wood lot to clear; have three years to do it. How shall it be done. A. Advised to clear all off bramble and pasture for 2 years and then plow.

8. How to plow in a heavy crop of peas. No satisfactory answer.

9. Have members trimmed their corn crops A. Several have trtimmed and found it not so good as expected, though [thin thin found?] better than usual.

10. Horse calves for sale at $10 price 11. Has the election experience in the art of spaying calves.

The enterprise Club met at the house of Cha H Brooke 10 am 5th 78

R B Farquhar foreman and E P Thomas see until the return to the house.

P J Stabler will make a [?] next month on spaying calves. He thinks it has not proved a [?]

4. What is the price of the use of a drill per acre. Ans 38c.
