there was a decided improvement in the hogs on this
farm. There were several colts in the field, looking
well though not very large. We saw a considerable
portion of the corn out in the field. On returning
to the house, the minutes of the last meeting here
were read and discussed together with the merits
of some very fine fallowater apples.

The Foreman read a letter inviting us to take
part in the meeting of the to arrange for the annual
meeting of the several Clubs. Thos. G. Lea
B. H. Miller + A. M. Stabler were appointed a Com.

2d I have a field twice mowed, shall I top dress
and mow again or plow for corn?

8 say plow for corn, 7 top dress + mow

3d Will an old cow fatten faster in stable or
in open yard. feed being equal?

12 say Stable , 2 yard.

4th Will rough cattle winter in a meadow
2 miles from home, no shelter or barn yard?

12 say barn yard, 5 say meadow

5th Shall I sell potatoes now or hold? 14 say hold

6th Shall I mulch strawberries with turnip tops? No.

7th Isn't the best way to keep turnips to bury
in fields? yes.

8th What is the usual price for selling a thrash
