We passed over the stubble field part of which was well
set in grass from Corn Stubble
The field mowed this year did not promise much for next
season, though where it was top dressed with ferterlizers :sic]
looked much better.
Some corn sowed for fodder after the middle of July did not
look as tholigh it could stand much hot sun.
The twin gates _previously spoken of looked very familliar.
The barn was hardly half full of hay and grain.
After reading the minutes of last meeting and eating a
hearty supper the following questions were asked and answered.
Our host wants to know what to do with his sod field, that
would not do to mow again
Majority say corn ez some say potatoes.
Whet to do with stubble field that is only tolerably
well set in grass
Majority would leave it.
What condition should a field be in to lime this time
of year.
Mostly say sod.
How is ice keeping this year
Generally well
Clover
Would you cut 2nd crop for hay or seed.
Cut for hay if it is a good clover crop.
How to Kill poke.
Cut it off below the crown
What to sow in corn stubble That or rye
Majority say wheat.
