1st Month 15th 1870
The Club meet at Olney, commencing the year with a full meeting, andwith Dr Magruder, H C. Hallowell, Wm Lea Chas Kirk, &
Chas Farquhar, as guests. Samuel Hopkins was appointed
foreman and after reading the minutes of the last meeting here,
by the retiring sec, all proceed to exnmine the farm,
except the present Sec, who having a cold and no
appointment, prefered staying by the fire. T J Lea reported
that the corn house and Ice house were both full, Interesting
facts After returning to the house R M Stabler resigned his
appointment as Sec, and after several ineffectual efforts
were made to elect one who would be willing to serve in his place,
it was proposed that each member should serve in alphabetical
order,

This being adopted the book was handed to W S Bond, who
having a cold was kindly assisted by former
Sac's in reading the minutes of last meeting, also by
reading the very interesting minutes of the Farmers club of
Woodburg, New Jersey, presented by Chas H Brooke.
