Brooke. We had as guests M. Osborn, Geo Brooke Jr. Thos Shomaker. As usual we were much after the appointed hour in getting together Which so often makes our walk too hurried. C. H. Brooke was foreman The first object of interest was the garden every thing showed care & thrift. The Cattle & colts were in a fine White clover pasture and looked as though the pasture agreed with them The Large bay mare has another fine colt which she always does no matter how poor a horse the sire is. The orchard was doing well except some trees who were hurt by the bow. The corn field was crossed in our walk & promised well especially the acre intended to take the Club Premium. The Wheat promised a fair yield of good quality. Some English wheat was shown but pronounced too late. The Grass field was a contrast to the adjoining old field. The appearance of a rain made us hurry to the house where after partaking of Supper the following Questions were asked and answered. What is the price cutting & shocking Wheat? Ans $1.75 & $2.00 What Experience with Uriah H Griffiths Wheat? Generally thought to be much the same as Boynton.
