32o Ther. SUN. DEC. 4th Wind Variable
I feel quite unwell to day, and
have had considerable pain and
soreness in the region of the spleen
besides head aches. We had a very
quiet Sunday all to ourselves.
Harriet, dora, Edwd & myself
comprising the family. H read aloud
a long story from the "St Nicholas"
Edwd having a heavy cold cannot
be much out of doors.

Ther. 30o MONDAY 5th Wind N.W.
Beautiful winter morning. I am
feeling rather better, but still far
from as well as usual. Paid
F. Downey for the milk to the first
of this month. Saw him in the mill
office & paid him there. After dinner
I rode "Frank" to Rodney Boswell's
and called to see M. K. Evans on
my return. Alice & Fanny Peirce
called whilst I was absent.

Commenced raining about
10. o'clk this morning & continued
until afternoon when it cleared
off. Jno: W Johnson was here and
borrowed the wheel barrow. After
noon Clifford dislocated his
right shoulder (head of humar
and down into the axilla) I was
sent for & took him to Gideon
Gilpins and reduced it, and
"put it up" nicley in a sling.

Cloudy early this morning
& cleared off before dinner making
a beautiful day. I worked at
putting up shelves in the pantry
& c. Afternoon Alice Peirce walked
over to spend he night. P.J. Stabler
was hee for advice for his son
"Morris". M.K. Evans sent
for medicine ("zinc wash")
