Bro: R called on way to meeting
I drove to Chas Hammond's and
afterwards took Ida & the baby
over to Miss Holland's to call
& back to dinner. Hallie Bentley
called for some medicine.
also Mrs E Jackson. Afternoon
I was sent for to see "Joe" Evans, a colored
man, who was shot with a Revolver in the
hands of another at Sharp St Church
about 4-30 o'clk: he was dead when I
got there. "Perry Campbell" is said to
be the man who shot him. Mr A. G.
Mathews called & took Ida and the
baby home with him. W went to Edwd
Peirce's after dinner.

Ther. 66 MONDAY 12th Wind
I took Edwd to "Sherwood School"
& entered him as a pupil having had
an understanding with A. G. Thomas to
get him in at "half rate". I also went to
the Public School & started Miss Ida
Dove as teacher there. Afternoon Willie
left in the stage for Laurel on way to
Wellsborough Tioga Co. Pa: to learn
"floraculture" with Wm Whiting.
Sarah Johnson was here with toothache
she is daughter of Harriet Dorsey
J. T. Henderson brought his daughter "Ella"
"May" to the office at tea time. Gilbert T
Smith Jr: called.

Cloudy & Rain
Ther. 65o TUES. SEPT 13th, 1892 Wind S.E.
Cloudy & threatning until about 10 o'clk
when it commenced raining & continued
more or less all day. Edwd went to school
again at Sherwood. I went with Bulwar
over to the Public School House to inspect
the stove. Mrs R R Moore Jr: sent for medicine.
Lizzie Iddings took sister H to Mary
Gilpin's to dine & I sent Jno W Johnson
in the phaeton for her before tea time.
Edwd: took the milk cans to "Downey's"
to commence getting milk from them in
future four times a week, mondays
wednesdays, fridays & saturdays, in the morning.

Clearing
Ther. 65o WEDNESDAY 14th Wind S.W.
It rained very hard last night
several times but cleared off this
morning. Afternoon Alice & Fanny Peirce
came to say "good bye" to Sister Harriet
who expects to return to Phila tomorrow
taking the little girls with her. "Fanny"
& "Bessie". Mrs Snowden & Sarah
Stabler also called.
