Ther. Sun. Sept 13th, 1885 Wea.

Slept little last night, read
Lady Brasseys last voyage in
the "Sunbeam" to "West Indie's"
Bro C brought sister H over and
left her here. Ernest called
Charley & Willie rode around
on "bicycles". Afternoon I
took Harriet & sister H in
the carriage to Ed: Peirce's
and remained to tea.
Thos J Lea & wife also
took tea there. Charley
got Bulwars horse and
started out for a drive
just as we got home.

Ther. Mon. Sept 14th, 1885 Wea.

Very warm weather again
Annie Rounds washed for
H. After noon Alice and
Fanny Peirce came fast before
we had a heavy shower of rain
which lasted about half an
hour. Harriet & sister H went
over to Homewood & Spring Dale
to call. Willie taking them in the
carriage. Sister Beulah called.
After tea Rachael & Mary Gilpin
called. Martha A Wright
here for advice & medicine.
After we had gone to bed
Mrs Robinson came over for
me to go to see "Bessie",
who was very feverish and
delirious. having the "mumps"
I prescribed a mustard foot bath
& gave Brom:Potass: in small doses.
