69. Clear & Clearing. Variable
Ther. Sun. June 21st, 1885 Wea.

Willie took Bulwar's horse
down to him early this morning,
and rode the "bicycle" from
there over to Riverside leaving
it there for Charley & bringing
Fritz home. C did not
come home until 10.30 p.m.
Harriet has not been
at all well all day, suffering
pain &c. at bed time
I insisted upon knowing
what was the matter and
discovered that she was
afflicted with a "hernia"
or Rupture " Femoral hernia"
of right side. I
reduced it with some difficulty,
and applied a supporting
bandage. or truss
Wrote Dora to come home

Harriet tried to get up
but nearly fainted & went to
bed again where she must
remain. Willie & I got some
breakfast. I slept none last
night, & feel weak today.
Afternoon Mrs. Jas Bryan
here for advice &c. for infant
son.
