The Peirce girls left for home
about 11. a.m. I took Edward
up to Sandy Spring store to see
the Christmas toys, and
after dinner took him
with me to Ashton in the
spring wagon as I took C
down with the mail. &
to get a sugar barrel for
H to pack hams in.
Richard E Retzet came
about 3.30 pm. from
Baltimore on foot.
I drove down again to Ashton.

Ther. Sat. Dec. 19th, 1885 Wea.

About home all day. afternoon
mended the carriage
gluing & bolting the corner
of the body. After supper
Willie & I walked down
to Ashton & got medicine
for R E R. Wild blew
strong from the N.W.
I also walked up to Sandy Spg
& bought "Magic lantern" for
Edwards Christmas gift.
