I drove down to Ashton to
prescribe for Louisa Painter
Sent John to J J Shoemakers
to see about wood.
Ned Hill called & paid
me $1.00.

I drove down to Ashton
and had "Fox" shod in front
got Glass for diploma and
put it in the frame. Lizzie
Lea came & dined with us
also Alice & Fanny Pierce.
Frank Leizear took Dora's
old "card table to dress off
the top. Ernest came here
before tea time and the
young folks played whist
all the evening.
I wrote to the Commissioner
of Pensions, Washington DC
