Fresh fish & oyster men
both came along. Afternoon
sister Beulah came & spent
most of the afternoon.
Little Edward was taken
with a chill followed
by vomiting & high fever
& free evacuation of his
bowels - Mrs. "Bartlett",
(ne Gibson) here for advice
& prescription

Thurs. Jan. 15, 1885

Willie took the mare to Sam
Budd's & had a shoe put on, &
brought her home & took "Charles"
horse & the sulkey & went out
to school rather late. I was
sent for & went to Columbus
Warfield's driving "Fritz" to
the "phaeton" & taking John
with me - through the rain
Sent John with the mare
after Charley at dinner
time. Little Edwd was
very sick all through last
night: high fever & delirious
until about 4. o'clk a.m.
He is much better since
breakfast time.
