Sir

I have the honor to acknowledge
the receipt of your letter of the 11th ult'o
No. 28/3 per the Lucy Anne, and in
reply to the 3d paragraph I beg leave
to report that thirty Ewes and one
Ram arrived here by the Isabella
in December last - I am sorry
to state that ten of the Sheep
forwarded by the Lucy Anne died
on the passage.

2 --- George Baxter a prisoner of the
Crown at this Settlement and formerly
a Sergeant in the New South Wales R. V. C.
has applyed [sic] to me to obtain permission
from His Excellency the Governor that
His wife may be permitted to join
him, as this man has conducted
himself much to my satisfaction I
shall feel obliged if the indulgence
can be granted to him
