with potatoes--

Dissolve yeast in warm water (about 1 cup)

Add mashed up potatoes & its water to flour, sugar (1/2 cup), salt & yeast as before.

Add an egg if you want (In olden times, we didn't put any eggs in. We had different yeast--home-made yeast).

Stiffen & let raise.
