56 Ordinances of the City of Greenville.

Sec. 8. It shall be the duty of the police whenever called
upon to execute the orders of the Board of Health, or
the Board of Health may execute such orders through
its own officers or persons, and in the execution of said
orders such person or persons shall have, in all matters
relating to the exercise of their duties, all the powers
and authority exercised by the police force.

Sec. 9. If any person shall obstruct or resist the Board
of Health, or any member thereof, or any person by
them appointed in the execution of the powers to them
given, or in any performance of the duties enjoine on
them by this or any other ordinance in relation to the
public health, such person shall forfeit and pay a sum
not exceeding fifty dollars or imprisonment for thirty
days, which may be sued for and recovered in any Court
of competent jurisdiction.

Sec. 10. If any person shall neglect or refuse to comply
with any rule, regulation, order or notice of the Board
of Health authorized by any of the sections of this
ordinance, and no other penlty is provided for such neglect
or refusal, such person or persons shall be liable to
pay a penalty not exceeding fifty dolaars or to an imprisonment
not exceeding thirty days for each offense, and
five dollars for every day that such neglect or refusal
shall continue, which may be for and recovered in any
Court of competent jurisdiction.

All ordinances or part of ordinances in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
