OFFICE OF PROTECTOR OF ABORIGINALS
8/24
BOLLON. 15th MARCH, 1924.

SIR/,
I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your MEMORANDUM
dated 6th March, 1924, reminding me that I had not returned to the
Home Department, the list of aboriginal Names of places and their
respective meanings, sent me on 5th December, 1923.
In reply I wish to state that I have not overlooked the matter,
but am awaiting opportunity of interviewing 2 persons within
this District who may and no doubt will be able to give me the
only information worth reporting, for so far I have been unable
to obtain any definite information on the matter, and no doubt
it is not intended that any expence should be incurred in ----
obtaining such, I have refrained from so doing, further there has
been an excessive amount of work to attend to at this Station
since receipt of such list, that would justify same standing over
for a time. I will endeavor to obtain some particulars at an
early date, and forward to the requestee.
I have the honour to be-
SIR,
Yours obediently,
A Adams
Protector for BOLLON. Dist
