The Council went into Committee of the whole on the
second reading of the "By Law respecting public works, contracts,
purchases, Labor and supplies.

Ald Mooers on the Chair.
The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law in Committee as amended. The Report
was received.

The 29th Rule was suspended and the By Law was
read a third time and passed.

Ald Dupuis here left.

The Council went into Committee of the whole on the
second reading of the By Law entitled a By Law to regulate
the public markets in the City of Kingston.

The Council resumed.
The Committee rose reportetd progress and asked leave to sit
again. The Report was received.

Tenders for Market Tolls were opened and
read as follows:

On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald Mooers

Ordered, That the tender of Robert Keyes
for Market Number One and William Miller for
Market Number Two being the highest be accepted on
conditions that the security offered be approved of by
the Mayor and in the event of the party not completing
their security to the satisfaction of the Mayor the next lowest
party completing said security be accepted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Wharves
and Harbor brought up a Report (Number 644 Book D No 2)
which was read and adopted.

On motion the Council adjourned.
