Ald Allen brought up the petition of Peter
Henderson respecting taxes.

On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Anglin
Ordered, That the petition of Peter Henderson
be referred to the Finance Committee.

A Communication from Alexander Smyth
Clerk of the Market was read respecting the rent
due by the Butchers occupying stalls in City
Buildings.

On motion of Ald McCammon seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered, That the Communication of the
Clerk of the Market be referred to the Committee on
City Property.

Ald Pense from the Committee on Finance
and Accounts brought up a Report (Number 642
Book D No 2) which was read and adopted.

Ald Walkem from the Committee on City
Property brought up a Report (Number 643 Book D
No 2) which was read.

On motion of Ald Walkem seconded by Ald Clements
on City Property be received and adopted with the
exception that the tenders be not accepted or the work
proceeded with until the tenders are reported to the Council
Yeas 11 Nays 7.

On motion the Council adjourned.
