Ordered, That the petition of H. Youlden be
referred to the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas to report.

Ald McCammon brought up the petition of Emanuel
Morris praying for a remission of a portion of his Carters
License.

On motion of Ald McCammon seconded by Ald Clements
Ordered, That the petition of Emanuel Morris
be referred to the Committee on Licenses to report.

Ald Carson brought up the petition of Bernard
Sheridan and 85 others praying permission to sell
fresh meat on their places of business.

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald Campbell
Ordered, That the petition of B Sheridan and
85 others be referred to the Committees on Market and
City Property to report.

Ald Dupuis brought up the petition of M.J. Brown
and 19 others praying permission to place a crossing on
Princess street midway between Montreal and Sydenham
streets.

Ald Dupuis moves seconded by Ald McCammon
That the prayer of the petition of M.J. Brown
and others be granted.

In amendment
Ald Carson moves seconded by Ald McRossie
That the petition of MJ Brown and others be
referred to the Committee on Streets with power to act
also to report to regulate where street crossings shall be
placed on Princess Street - which being put was carried.
Yeas - 10 Nays - 9 and the original motion was lost.

Petitions respecting taxes were submitted and
referred to the Court of Revision.
