The Chairman from the Committee on City
Property brought up a Report (Number 580 Book D)
which was read.

Ald Drennan moves seconded by Ald Clements
That the Report Number 1 of the Committee
on City Property be received and adopted.

In amendment
Ald Walkem moves seconded by Ald McRossie
That the part of the report which recommends
the sale of the City Photographs be struck out and
that in other respects the report be adopted - which
being put was lost - Yeas 7 Nays 9 and the
original motion was adopted.

Ald Drennan from the Citiy Property Committee
brought up a second report (Number 581 Book D)
which was read.

Ald Drennan moves seconded by Ald Carson
That the Special Report of the Committee on
City Property be received and adopted.

In amendment
Ald Walkem moves seconded by Ald Asselstine
That this Council deems it inexpedient to expend
upon the City Buildings any greater amount than the
appropriation therefor for the year and that the Committee
on City Property be authorised to have the most necessary
repairs recommended by their report effected to the
extent of but not exceed said appropriation which
being put was carried and the original motion was
lost Yeas 7 Nays 8

Ald McDermott from the Committee on Fire, Water
and Gas brought up a Report (Number 582 Book D)
which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements submitted an estimate from the City
Engineer of the amount required to repair the Breakwater
on King street.

On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald Mooers
Ordered, That the Estimate of John Innes City
Engineer in reference to the Breakwater on King
street this Council instruct the City Engineers to
advertise at once for tenders for the performance
work, the work to be done under the supervision
of the Committee on Streets amount not to exceed $178.00.

Ald Clements from the Committee on Printing brought
up a Report (Number 583 Book D) which was read and
adopted.
