Ordered, That a fourth clause be inserted in the By Law reading also
that Schedule A in the present By Law be taken out and the following Schedule
A be inserted instead

4th Clause
Any person guilty of a breach of this By Law shall upon conviction be subject
to the penalties and forfeitures provided in the By Law No 517 of the Consolidated By Laws of
the City of Kingston.

Schedule A

That part of the City of Kingston which lies east of Montreal Street and north
of Cataraqui Street and the line of Cataraqui Street produced westerly to Montreal Street
and also that part of the City being the square tract of land lying in the south east angle
formed by the interesection of Cataraqui Street and the Railway allowance of The Grand
Trunk Railway & the Kingston & Pembroke Railway and having a frontage of 100 feet
on said Cataraqui Street and 100 feet on said Railway allowance and also that part
of the City which lies east of a line drawn from Cataraqui Street to North Street parallel
to Rideau Street and two hundred and fifty feet distant there from and bounded on
the north by Cataraqui Street on the south by North Street and on the east by the
Railway allowance of the Grand Trunk Railway and The Kingston & Pembroke Railway.

The Report was received as amended:

The By Law was read a third time and passed as amended.

Ald Carson introduced a By Law 591 entitled "A By Law to prohibit the erection
or placing of buildings other than with main walls of brick, iron or stone and roofing
of incombustible material within certain defined limits" which was read a first time.
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into Committee of the whole
on the second reading,

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second reading of the By Law.
The 30th Rule being suspended the By Law was read a third time and passed.

Ald Donnelly introduced "A By Law to further regulate the K,P&C Electric
Railway Co." which was read a first time.
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into Committee of the whole
on the second reading of the By Law

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second reading of the By Law
which being put was lost.

On motion of Ald Elliott seconded by Ald C Robinson
Ordered, That this Council correspond with the principal cities and
towns in Ontario asking their co-operation in petitioning The Ontario Legislative
Assembly and the Dominion Government with a view to induce them to add
certain clauses to any grants made to any Railway Co. or person or persons;
receiving aid from the Government or Municipalities through which the railway
runs all such grants contain clauses that in the future all the rolling stock
cars locomotives of the said railway Co. must be manufactured in Canada.
