This appears to be a letter from W.W.S. father; Benjamin Roper Smith to Esther Fisher (Wharton) Smith, his wife and usual addressee of W.W.S. letters. I'm unsure of its contents due to the difference in handwriting, so it needs a lot of additional help. Has anyone else has found any additional letters from B.R.S. in this collection, and has any clues on reading the handwriting?
