My dear wife
This morning at
breakfast on board the boat,
I wrote a postal card to thee,
telling thee of my propers up to
that time. I was at our own
door by a quarter past ten o'clock,
and five minutes
later was off for Grange: as
there might be troubles of which
I know nothing, I thought it
best to take time by the fore-
lock! I got a buggy at Freedly,
with a man to drive me, and
soon settled matters at Grange
with Sam, and his tenant. poor
