does he have the plates loaded and "sent along", and
gets fairly at it himself, before back comes a dish
for another draught; By the time he is sent off +
fairly seated again, up comes another, + this it goes on
till hunger is satisfied. But as the carver is allowed 15
minutes grace I would not complain, there is always
enough. So well have I succeeded that
I challenge any man in the seven states, to vie with
me in spooning out the Beans, corn starch, dumpling
and cranberry sauce. And then in the morning
the "Buck Wheats," so delicious. I can deal them out
like a book; + what wonder? there are 14 plates at amy
table + each of them are loaded not more than six
times apiece at each meal, so you see it would not take long
to get my hand in. As for turkeys, ducks, and Roast
Beef, they are out of my line, so I can say nothing
about them, but come down to "Consmore" faire + I believe
I am somebody. But enough of noncense, our board
has been first rate this term, and what makes it pleasant
all seem to be satisfied with the fair and those
who deal it out, I miss the accompaniments, as we
have had but one dish of dandelions this term,
expect nothing more of the kind until peas come,
of those we may have one or two dishes.
I think I shall accept your proposal and come
Home 4th of July. If such is the case the trunk
had better come Home the week before had it not?
